Wow. There are no words to describe exactly how we feel today, but I will try anyway.
It's one thing to hear a movie through the limited range of television or computer speakers, it is something totally different to be in a sound editing suite with a professional sound editor hearing your dreams come to fruition for your project.
Knowing that the look and sound of a project is as close to what we had envisioned is both exciting and humbling. Exciting because now our next move is to have this short put into theatres at Film Festivals around the world; and humbling as we reflect on how many people shared parts of their lives with us in order to make this dream come true.
With our sound mix and online edit now complete, thanks to our amazing sponsors at The Postman, we can now take a breath and gleefully reflect on the past nine months. In addition to our amazing cast and crew, we need to thank our sponsors at WIlliam F. White, SIM digital and Trew Audio for giving us the tools our crew needed to complete the shoot.
What a day

We are now in the final stages of post-production and we couldn't be happier with the result! This is the end of a long nine month journey Joshua and I began in late September/early October, that has left us with a finished film everyone who was involved can be proud of. Along the way we have worked with a lot of the best cast and crew that we could have ever hoped for and we are eternally grateful to everyone who helped get us to today.
With a wonderful score done by Josh Cruddas and a masterful sound design by Herb Theriault matching perfectly up with Luckas Cardona's edit, we are now putting the finishing touches on our film. Another huge thanks goes to the amazing work of Marc Savoie and Eric Leclerc from our post-production sponsor The Postman.
The framework and amazing shots caught on the day by our Director of Photography Paul McCurdy and his team of amazing camera people, electrics and grips really came together in post. Now as we head into our final sound mix, Joshua and I will see the entirety of our film as it was meant to be seen for the first time.
Thank-you to everyone!
The shoot went amazing. In those two days we were on time, got all the shots we wanted and most importantly, everyone had a blast working on it. It was very important to Chuck and I that the crew were happy and had fun during the making. That caused extra hours of preparation to make sure we had all our ducks in a row, but it was worth it!
